They are sick trying to claim this is a witch hunt. A witch hunt is not over 40 counts of molestation. I also argue that Paterno should have done more. They tried to argue he went to his boss and did the right thing. Partial yes, but if you found out someone is molesting children would you tell your boss or the police? Even hearsay. This was not one incident. Every game day we get to re-live our youth, and reaffirm the notion that we made the right choice, and 'my school is better than yours '. So we look the other way while the programs run rampant. A minor league system is the answer. It works in baseball, and should work equally as well in football and basketball, leaving scholarships available to true student athletes that play for the love of the game, without the underlying desire to get paid.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
